Never been a big fan of Beetles, but it's hard to argue with that price. NP.

I have to admit that I've never shared the passion for Beetles. I know a lot of people really, really love them but I see an under-powered tin can without a working heater. At least they aren't boring, though. There are definitely worse cars to be passionate about.

I don't like them that much either but they're the cheapest car you can buy with an engine in the back. It's basically a 911.

If you squint really hard.

There are three in the backyard of a house by my school. I really want to knock on the door and buy one. I would never spend more than $1000 on one.

There's a really, really ratty one in my neighbor's back yard. I've been thinking about buying it and having it as a project car if I had the space/experience.
Pros: Will be super cheap to buy, probably easy to work on as it has about 3 moving parts
Cons: I have no idea what I'm doing

It's $1300 bucks. What's the hold up? Rob a 7-11 or a random foot cart and go get it.

I'd buy that right now if it was closer. I'd prefer a pre '67. Soon I will have one. Soooon

You don't have to squint that hard, a 911 still looks like a Beetle.
Come at me, bro.

I think a squint is required.
Maybe less of a squint for the top two.

That was funny.
Don't you have to like them though given your username?
j/k

A really old one would be pretty cool. I wonder how much a cherry one from the early 60s would go for

I've never been a big fan of Beetles, or The Beetles for that matter. But as I get older both of them are growing on me. Classic Beetles used to be so common. But now you rarely see a clean one. It would be pretty sweet to restore one and give it a nice paint job. Or do what this guy did:

Nah, us 80s liberals were never tied to Bugs. Volvos were more our thing. Me being a poor rural type of liberal, I was more of an old beat up Monte Carlo driver.

80s Volvos kicked serious ass.
What year was your Monte Carlo?
I wonder if there are any poor rural liberals these days, or if all those areas have turned red...

"Title available" What does that mean? "Tell ya what , I'll give ya $1200 and I want unlimited fishing rights in your pond".

There is an oval window beetle for sale near me on craigslist for $6k without an engine. I'd jump on it if I had money to burn. Soon, soon.....

Nice, especially if it's relatively rust free. Way easier to source an engine than a car that's in good shape
